Tetracopter™
The Tetracopter™ is a custom-built fully autonomous four rotor lift body. This website is dedicated to the engineering processes behind our open source solution to an autonomous four rotor lifting body. Tetracopter™ was designed, developed and tested by students of the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. The design principle has much in common with existing Quadrocopter systems such as the Universal Aerial Video Platforms, or the commercially available Draganflyer.
Website Overview
Four students from the Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering spent a few months developing a custom-build autonomous four rotor lifting body. We simultaneously developed efficient and high tech solutions to the mechanical, electrical, and software components of the Tetracopter™. You can see details of each of the three systems by clicking on the links above.
